An exceptionally gifted, and experienced craftsman, Ian, born and raised in Victoria, was inspired by the character homes he grew up in. Ian has always been intrigued by architecture and comfortable living spaces.
His building career started out with his brother Keith (www.keithbakerdesign.com) in 1983 as a partner in Richwood Designs. Here he honed his skills as a cabinetmaker
building traditional kitchens, custom doors, windows and furniture. The skill and love for his work has led him to the construction/contracting of new custom homes, additions
and renovations.
He takes great pride in his “on-the-fly” design abilities – helping his clients reach their goals and visions. Ian is open, honest, trustworthy and dedicated. He takes time to
listen and it shows.
His hobbies have included First Nations carving and design, building and restoring vintage hot rods and creating/building static “Robots” from found objects. Check out his
website at <a href=”http://www.mix-fits.com”>www.Mix-Fits.com</a>
He has been successfully self employed since the early 1980’s and largely self-taught. Ian applies attention to detail and quality craftsmanship to everything he does.
He believes there is a creative solution to every challenge and approaches these situations with determination, patience and mindfulness.
